Success stories

From student to team leader

At the age of 24, Nils Buhmann is our youngest team leader at WKG. Nils started his dual studies in combination with the FHDW Hannover in October 2014 at the age of 18 and after 6 successful theoretical and practical phases he obtained a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science. He then joined us as an application developer in SalesFront® development with C # / .NET and Xamarin and completed his master’s degree at the FHDW, which he received in February 2020 with a Master of Science Information Engineering with a grade of 1.9 has completed. Since July 2020 he has been our new team leader for the “Team Fusion”, which comprises five employees. Nils is currently focusing on the area of DevOps (Software Development and IT Operations) and is helping us to further increase efficiency and quality.

From bachelor to authorized signatory

Patrick Wolf started at WKG in April 2012 as an application developer, completed his master’s degree at the FHDW Hannover and completed it in March 2014 with a Master of Science Business Process Engineering. The shareholders’ group then offered him an employee participation and accepted Patrick as the youngest shareholder to date in the WKG. He was also promoted to team leader. Since 2016, Patrick has been the development manager responsible for the successful implementation of all software projects at WKG and looks after our entire development team and the team leaders professionally and organizationally. Due to the long-standing trust of the shareholders and to promote his sales strengths, the management granted him power of attorney in June 2020. In July 2020 Patrick took the instructor aptitude test (AEVO) at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry Hanover.

Until retirement

It is a very special premiere that we celebrated on August 21, 2020 – the first member of our team to retire. Günther Moormann, who has been with WKG since April 2006, has reached the age of 66 and is now going into well-deserved retirement. As a long-standing member of our core team, Günther has already experienced and coordinated many software implementations, copied large amounts of data from the previous system, wrote countless lines of code and helped our customers with a variety of different questions over the past 5258 days. In doing so, he solved some very tricky cases, such as the temporary sales tax cut in the second half of 2020, which concerns all companies in Germany. Günther is a Senior Software Engineer with over 30 years of professional experience. Fortunately, he will remain with us as a mini jobber, which we are very happy about.
